Georgetown Canal

I walked with Laura to work yesterday and then walked along the Georgetown Canal to school.

These pictures are probably more interesting to me than, you know, other people, but I'm posting them anyway.

This is just outside Laura's Anthropologie.

I was supposed to be finishing up a book for class, but instead I wandered around taking these pictures.
My teacher didn't notice, though.

Apparently this used to be a part of a much bigger canal. It was dug out in 1870.

Old brick houses line the canal.
