Springtime

One nice thing about being a student is I get to choose when I want a day off, and yesterday I wanted a day off.

We got some work out of the way early by going to Costco. I also went to the Library of Congress for a few hours of research, which I've kind of become addicted to (in a good way). When Laura came to meet me I was snooping through W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington's mail. I can see how actual stalkers might really enjoy their lives.

We eventually walked to DC's Eastern Market (DC's version of Pike Place) where we had Baklava and cupcakes. Then we wandered over to the Portico at the National Portrait Gallery (which remains my favorite Smithsonian) and ate a sack lunch and took pictures against the sunset.

We met up with Emily and Francis for the Wizards last home game where, for the 25th time this season, the Wizards won. That's 25 out of 81. Good thing we came on a night they were playing the Pacers.

We stopped at the Einstein monument on the way home.

I got to be Einstein's hat
