Laura and I went to the Ohio Chesapeake Canal State Park where we:
stared down a vulture
took pictures through over-sized sunglasses
stared forlornly down at the ground
contemplated life as a 19th century canal lock operator
stared down a heron (only a heron; it was not "great" and it was only kind of "blue")
generally got excited for fall
