we arrive early for dinner. it's 9 o'clock in spain when it's only 7 o'clock in morocco. seating is limited in this small but popular restaurant overlooking the kasbah. we sit on cushions on the rooftop listening to the last prayer call of the day and waiting for the sun to go down.
we visited morocco during ramadan. muslims fast during daylight hours for one lunar month of ramadan. by 6:30 the streets and shops are totally vacant; everyone has gone inside to prepare to break the fast. at about 7:30 moroccan time, and after prayer, our servers bring up the food and we eat along with the rest of tangier.
by the time we order dessert we can see children, all boys, back out on the streets playing games. tangier will stay up late, eating and enjoying themselves, so that they can sleep during half the following daylight hours of fasting. but we're not much for late night parties. so after dinner we wander through the medina in search of our hotel and sleep.

So glad that while you packed so many fun and exotic places into your itinerary that you also took time to take pictures of two lovely people and all those places to share with us! Way fun to see them!
