we spent saturday helping a friend build the beginnings of his labyrinth. robert and i walked out into the desert marking a trail so people could find us. we watched as people came up over the crest into our small valley, and fill it with greetings, laughter and flinging lava rocks. we gathered the rocks and lined them up in one big circle. we climbed rocks and explored caves. and then we had dinner and a more delicious dessert than anyone should expect to have in the desert.
